Has anyone else seen the new hand driers
that you put your hands down into,
instead of under?
Doesn't it look like something from a Stephen King short story, where some hapless malcontent finds a way to accidentally bring it alive so that it gnaws your hands off?
I'm not a fan.

I do like that it actually gets your hands dry!
I saw these for the first time years ago at a highway rest stop, and they're also in bathrooms at Harbor Place. And the other day, I saw them in Chick-fil-a! Guess they've caught on.
Not a fan either. Apparently my coworkers were so confused by ours, that they had to post a note on it that it is not a trash can. I'll have to take a pic.
I never thought of it like that, but now that I do, I like it even MORE! It makes me think of that scene in Roman Holiday with the lion statue mouth...

We have one of these in the downstairs bathroom at work. I like using it. Now I like the artificial sense of risk I feel when using it! Thank you, Niki, for making my safe world just a little bit perceptually-dangerous!
