What the Hades???

I had an evening show tonite (actually i have night shows 4 of the 5 days this week) and in the van on the way to the library, i heard the weather person say that it was 105 degrees in downtown Baltimore, 97 in the suburbs! WHAT? I don't live in the desert. I don't live in Arizona. What is going on here?
