I had visitors today! I just love it when i have visitors. With things being so crazy right now I couldn't spend as much time with them as i would have liked, but we did dinner last night, lunch today and my museum this afternoon.
That's David, Kaaren, Jacob and Isabel under a giganotasaurus.
I know there are readers here from different sections of my life, so let me do a character map so you know who these people are:
- long, long ago (
feb 13, 1994) i met Douglas; i picked him up at the Disney store in the Columbia Mall while waiting for my interview downstairs at the World of Science; you might recall that he recently took me on a fabulous vacation that you have only seen 5 pictures of so far
- one night, a year later (
feb 20, 1995) Douglas and I had dinner at the local Bennigan's and David was our waiter; i developed a mad crush on him, stalked him like a psycho woman, eventually got past the craziness, became great friends/travel companions and "spurred each other on to financial ruin"; he is one of my favorite people on the planet
- many years later (
sept 15, 2002) David married Kaaren who is a frequent commentor here in the Nikiverse and mom to Jacob from a previous marriage
- eighteen months later (
mar 1, 2004) David and Kaaren had Isabel

Anyhoo... it is Spring Break and they are doing stops on the I-95 corridor : Charleston, SC; Washington, DC; Baltimore, MD; and New York, NY. It was great that we were able to find some time in their itinerary and my life that overlapped :

I'm pretty sure that, in any sense of the words, you have ever "gotten past the craziness".
