make no mistake, this IS a disney cruise

During the entire week of the cruise i was amazed at the attention to detail on the ship. If you've ever been to any Disney property you know that they take their details seriously. I totally intended to take a bunch of pictures documenting the amazing themed details, but i ended up being too busy doing other things. The collage above is just a few of the tableaus around the stores -of course there are stores on the boat. Here is the painted masthead of the Magic - Sorcerer Mickey surrounded by gold scrollwork that contains -if you click to enlarge the pic below - Daisy and Minnie on beach chairs, Pluto swimming out of a wave, Mickey and a nephew on a waverunner and (just for Kaaren) a hidden Mickey One of the selling points of a Disney cruise is that there are characters available nearly all the time. In fact, their schedule is listed in your Daily Navigator, on screens around the ship, on tv and there is even a telephone number you can call for character information. Sometimes there are events with multiple characters like at the opening and farewell celebrations while sometimes it is a single character posing for pictures. It was fine to use your own camera -the staff would even shoot for you- but of course there was always a professional photographer so that there would be photos available to purchase. I was uncertain about how many photos i'd want to buy, but eventually we decided on a medium sized package of 8X10s and 6X8s. Here i am on formal night outside of the theater before The Golden Mickeys show with you know who One night Douglas and I were leaving dinner when we ran into Donald in a tux And finally this is probably one of my favorite pictures ever taken of me. Early in the cruise i spotted Chip and Dale in sailor suits. Click to enlarge that picture. Some of you have known me for a long, long time : when was the last time you saw me look that relaxed or that happy? The sheer joy of my surroundings and the cruise experience is literally shooting out of my pores.
