Fun with recovery

Team member Miriam underwent open heart surgery on Monday because she was born without a pulmonary valve; she is now the proud owner of her very own pig valve. Everything went to textbook perfection and she will be going home (most likely) today or tomorrow. Yesterday team member Felicia and I went to visit her at the hospital. We took her a Get Well card from the team; each person made hir/her own card and i collaged them all together. To make it even more fun, i turned it into a game of Eye Spy with a list of things for Miriam and her boyfriend Zach (who is staying in the hospital with her) to look for. I'm really happy with how it turned out and think that it will be a good way to spend some of the long, long hours counting down till she goes home.
